it's back to school and we're so cool

I was simply giddy all morning. I love back-to-school. One of the best things about Nathan being a professor is staying on the academic year rhythm. I love every autumn being a big beginning and every Christmas vacation being long and counting on spring break and a good change-of-pace summer.

Then we had to do the drive-to-the-doctor thing, which turned out fine. Now Reuben's dressing is off and his tubies are out and yet again I'm congratulating myself for not falling asleep on the highway. Still waiting on the pathology.

What to do, now, with a baby and mama all day? Well, we started out with a nice 3-hour morning nap, then a chat on the phone with a golden friend... I was a bit behind in the sleep area. But now! New beginnings! New plans! I'm hoping to tackle a room each day and make Progress. And tomorrow the friend fun for me begins, with a moss-gathering hike with a couple of friends I cornered into it in the halls yesterday. Terrariums! I'm hatching plans for a first Fridays girls' club for my little ones, and deciding on the schedule for this season's crafternoons....are you going to be there?

You are amazing with the crafts!! I wish Annie and I could be there for the Friday crafternoons (did you make up that word??) and be inspired by you. Praying for positive pathology results.

Wish I could come too! The home with a baby, who is on a schedule, is a nice change to go back to.
