Today, thoughtful after my shower, I gave Audrey (10) the scissors. For that weird little part in back that I know I can't reach.
Marian (watching from the toilet, because that's how mornings are), gave an exaggerated eye roll and head shake, a Marian classic. "You should not had done that," was her sage advice.

You are braver than me. After seeing what my girls do with scissors, I am not letting them near my hair.
I've been surprised--isn't it a childhood standard??--but neither of my girls has ever had a hair/scissors incident.
that must mean Rueben is going to do it...my dd never has, but her older brother did it twice. sigh.
But hey, let's see a picture!
Hehehehehehe. I can picture Marian saying that.
And as someone who works with many 10 year old girls, let me say that you are a very loving (and trusting) woman. ; )
Regarding scissors and little kids, I always panic when I find a tuft of hair on the floor after kindergarten classes. Sometimes I find the culprit by the giant chunk of baldheadedness. Sometimes though, the chunk of hair belongs to the culprit's neighbor...which is really not good.
