wonky trees

I've been needing a bit more couch time lately (3rd trimester...sigh...), so took an evening and taught myself to crochet again (good tutorials on youtube!). I love the nature-inspired & nature-themed little creations at resurrection fern, and was tempted by these trees. Mine are very wonky (not so much a counter...plus, my first crochet in many many moons--my crochet past has only 2 kind of weird double crochet blankets), but I love them anyway.

You just taught yourself to crochet by watching a video? Just like that? Holy cow, you are really amazing.

That reminds me of those cute crochet baby booties I got at the baby shower you hosted for me! Maybe I should pass them along- since you are the one have a boy! How much time is left?!?

Hey there.......I'm glad that the wee houses arrived okay. You certainly do not need to mail a note, but thank you for the thought.

I thought of you all during my first week back at school. I called on one little kindergarten girl to tell me about a painting we were looking at. She had Marian's sweet little girl voice, and it just made me smile. I kept waiting for her to break out into "You are my sunshine." = )

That is adorable. Personally, nature is never perfect and always a bit wonky -- you did it perfectly!

You did a wonderful job on those trees and I agree with nweames nature has a way of making each object unique. I don't really count much either but find when writing tutorials it is best to try to attempt to be accurate . Crochet is a technique that is so forgiving :)

the fact that you called them wonky makes them wonderful!!!!
