Reuben is SO happy to be home. I couldn't believe how long he played with his sisters this evening: long enough for me to bake a strawberry-rhubarb pie, both early-summer delights bought at a Mennonite road stand on the way home from guitar lessons. With a lattice crust--my first. It was unnecessary, but awfully fun :).

I still can't bring myself to buy rhubarb at a grocery store. It's not big at the farmer's market either. I LOVE strawberry rhubarb pie.
It must be fun to see Reuban playing with his sisters. I love seeing their circle get bigger.
Hope all is well for you this week.
Sad to hear that it wasn't a happy weekend, but glad Roo is happy to be home!! Home always does a heart good, no matter how small. I love strawberry rhubarb anything, but we are having a detox week (no sweets), otherwise I night have to go buy some rhubarb.
